There are lessons to be learned at the Mall of America. Oh, you could learn them in school, too, but Newton's Laws of Motion take on more immediacy when you're hurtling down the Flume at 40 mph. And what better place to learn about what's valued in American culture? On Wednesday, 150 ninth graders from Lakeville's McGuire Junior High will learn practical, real-life applications of their science, English, health and social studies lesson at the Mall. -- Students were encouraged to work together to answer the 20 pages of questions that their teachers had prepared for them. This group gathered under the Kite Eating Tree, a ride that illustrates Newton's three Laws of Motion, to answer the 11 questions posed by the ride. Get premium, high resolution news photos at getty
