Insane and rare vintage corset by Vivienne Westwood, from the Spring/Summer 1996 Les Femmes Ne Pas Toute Leur Coquetterie, shown here documented on the runway in a slightly different shade and overlay fabric. This piece is also featured in the V&A Museum's permanent collection (cited as 1995). This unique and gorgeous piece features the classic points of a sleeveless portrait corset, in terms of boning and shape. The wide straps are adjustable by self-tying ropes. A layer of white quilted floral cotton pique is attached at the back and wraps around the body, with an adjustable lacing via matching white rope. Zips up at the backside. Gold label within.
